Taste of Thunder.
"Thumbs up! Taste The Thunder" I recalled after taking a huge sip of the soft drink.(Soft? Yeah, comparatively.)
As I felt the gas in my mouth and throat, I wondered what draws people close to the harder versions of the 'thunder'. Reasons are plenty! Perhaps, it's "In", perhaps it takes you "high", or as our very own Devdas puts it "Kaun kambakhat bardaash karne ko peeta hai?" (Who drinks to endure?). Yeah right. Surely Mr Devdas is a fan of the age old phrase "Loha lohe ko kaatta hai" (Iron cuts Iron). And so, pain will be cut be draining cumbustible ethyl alcohol down ones throat? Not quite. Yet, it's so irresistable. The sensation, weightlessness - it takes you to a different world all together, a world that is higher and higher without any limitations. There you are amongst the stars and floating on the clouds at the same time... Only to fall flat on your face when hit upon by reality! Oh, how does your head feel now? Ecstatic?
Alas, few seem to be able to contain themselves when they first step into this bog.
umm ... kya !?
ReplyDeletei felt dat the proverb by Benjamin Franklin:

ReplyDeleteintoxication has always been a way out of aimlessness of life. for those who have better stuff to do will always be critical of getting drunk or anything but for those who have nothing to do its a boon :)
